Getting here by road

Directions on Coast Road:  From Malaga Airport follow the signs to  ‘Motril’   and   ‘Almeria’   which will lead you onto the motorway A7 also marked as E15. At the moment this motorway ends at Almunecar  and you continue East on the N340 till just past Salobrena.

Here you turn inland on the A44. This is a new motorway signposted to 'Granada' and 'Jaen'. At the second roundabout after the turn inland you will see an additional sign to 'Orgiva' 'Granada' & 'Jaen' directing you uphill on the motorway. 

Following the signs to Granada you will see an exit to 'Orgiva and the Alpujarra'. This puts you on the A346. Just follow the signs and continue till you reach a small tunnel and turn immediately left up the A348 to Orgiva.

Directions from Granada:  Drive south, following the signs for   ‘Motril’   on the motorway   A 44  also marked  E 902.  After passing signs to the village of Beznar  you will see a filter off marked  ‘Alpujarras’.  Take this and turn left round the roundabout back over the motorway in the direction of   ‘Lanjaron’,  a town you pass round before arriving at Orgiva on the A348.

Warning: there are variable speed limits on the coastal Motorway, especially in tunnels, and it is heaving with speed cameras. As this is a revenue creating scheme, the fines are high.
